Grocaddy

Getting Started

Grocaddy organizes your grocery life in two tabs:

• Shopping List — your active items, grouped by store
• Purchased — a full calendar history of everything you've bought

No account or sign-in is required. Your data is stored privately on your device.

Adding & Managing Items

Adding a new item

1. Tap the green + button at the bottom right of the Shopping screen.
2. Enter the Item Name (required) and the Store where you plan to buy it.
3. Optionally add a Quantity or Note.
4. Tap Save. The item appears in your list under its store.

Editing an item

Tap any item in the list to open the edit form. Change any field and tap Save.

Deleting an item

Swipe left on an item and tap Delete, or open the item and use the delete option.

Shopping Mode

While you shop, Grocaddy helps you track what's already in your cart.

1. Tap an item to check it off. It moves to the Selected section at the bottom.
2. Continue checking items until you've picked up everything from a store.
3. Tap Mark Purchased to move the checked items to your purchase history.

Purchase History

The Purchased tab keeps a full record of everything you've bought, organized by date.

Browsing history

• Switch between Month, Week, and Day views at the top.
• Tap any date with a dot to jump to purchases from that day.
• Tap the title in the navigation bar to jump back to today.

Repurchasing items

1. Find the store group in your history and tap the Repurchase icon.
2. Select the items you want to buy again.
3. Tap Add to List — those items go straight back to your Shopping List.

Deleting history

• Tap the trash icon next to an individual item to delete it.
• Tap the trash icon in a store's header to delete all items from that store on that day.

Sharing a day's purchases

Tap the share icon in the date bar to share everything purchased on that day.

Sharing Your List

Send your shopping list to a family member or friend so they can add the items to their own Grocaddy.

1. On the Shopping screen, tap the share icon on any store group.
2. Enter a phone number or choose from your Share History.
3. Tap Send via SMS — your Messages app opens with the list pre-filled. Review it and tap Send. The recipient gets a link they can import directly.

Native share

Tap Share via… to use your device's built-in share sheet (AirDrop, Messages, email, etc.).

Importing a Shared List

When someone shares a Grocaddy list with you, opening the link launches the app's import screen.

1. Open the link in the SMS message. Grocaddy opens automatically.
2. A preview shows all incoming items and how many are new vs. already on your list.
3. Tap Import to merge them into your Shopping List.

Settings & Language

Tap the ⚙ icon at the top right of the Shopping screen to open Settings.

Language

Choose from three supported languages:

• English
• 한국어 (Korean)
• Español (Spanish)

Saved Stores

View and manage all store names Grocaddy has remembered. Tap a store to delete it from the autocomplete suggestions.

Item Name Suggestions

Grocaddy learns the item names you type most often. Clear the list here if you want to start fresh.

Tips & Shortcuts

• Jump to today — Tap the month/week title in the Purchased calendar to return to today instantly.
• Quick repurchase — Find any past purchase and tap Repurchase to skip re-typing items you buy regularly.
• Multiple stores — Add items from different stores; they're automatically grouped, so you never miss a stop.
• Quantity & notes — Use the Note field for details like brand, size, or aisle number.
• Share a specific day — In the Purchased tab, tap the share icon in the date bar to send a summary of everything you bought that day.
